North Carolina State dealt South Alabama its first-ever loss on the gridiron, getting four touchdowns from quarterback Mike Glennon as the Wolfpack won 35-13.

The Wolfpack (2-1) committed three turnovers, one of them on a fumbled snap by Glennon, but he did not throw a single interception.

The highlight for the N.C. State signal caller was a 67-yard scoring strike to T.J. Graham with 4:03 remaining in the game. It marked a career-long touchdown for both quarterback and receiver.

Graham finished with 128 yards receiving on five catches, his second consecutive 100-yard effort after racking up 117 yards on six catches the previous week in a loss to Wake Forest.

Taylor Gentry made two short TD catches for N.C. State.

South Alabama (2-1) was within 21-10 and had a chance to make a game of it when Glennon fumbled late in the third quarter, but the Jags missed the field-goal attempt that could have made it a one-possession game.

It marked the first football loss for the Jags, currently a Football Championship Subdivision team going through the reclassification process to join the Football Bowl Subdivision in 2013. The Jags had won their first 19 games as a program, and this was their first contest against an FBS opponent.
