Landry Jones threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns and DeMarco Murray finished with 182 total yards and two scores as No. 14 Oklahoma went on the road and crushed Baylor, 53-24, on Saturday.
Ryan Broyles caught 12 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown and Kenny Stills added a receiving score for the Sooners (9-2, 5-2 Big 12), who now need to beat rival Oklahoma State next Saturday to ensure themselves a spot in the Big 12 Championship game and a shot at a BCS Bowl.
Oklahoma was in control from the start against the Bears (7-5, 4-4), running off 21 unanswered points in the first quarter to take a commanding lead. Baylor got on the board with a touchdown in the second, but Jones responded just over four minutes later with his second touchdown pass of the day. The Sooners added a pair of field goals to go into the half up, 34-7.
The Oklahoma defense got into the act early in the third when Ronnell Lewis intercepted a pass from Robert Griffin and ran it back 13 yards to make it 41-7. Jones added another touchdown pass and the defense picked up a safety later in the third to put the game far out of reach.
