Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones was nearly perfect in leading the sixth-ranked Sooners to an impressive 52-0 rout of Iowa State on Saturday in the Big 12 Conference.
Jones completed 25 of his first 27 attempts as the Sooners took a
commanding 31-0 halftime lead. He finished 30 of 34
for 334 yards and three touchdowns.
The Sooners (7-0, 2-0 Big 12) face fellow unbeaten Missouri in a Big 12 showdown next week. It was Oklahoma's 34th straight win at home, the longest streak in the
nation. The Sooners improved to 70-2 at home under coach Bob Stoops.
Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray scored three touchdowns - two rushing, one receiving - and finished with 117 yards on 21 carries. Ryan Broyles caught 15 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown.
Iowa State (3-4, 1-2 Big 12) was limited to 183 yards.
