When: 12:00 PM ET, Saturday, October 16, 2010
Where: Carrier Dome, Syracuse, New York
Temperature: Dome

Tino Sunseri threw four touchdown passes, and Pittsburgh continued its recent dominance of Syracuse with a 45-14 victory on Saturday at the Carrier Dome.

Pittsburgh (3-3, 1-0 Big East) extended its win streak in the series to six games and wasted little time asserting itself. Sunseri hit freshman receiver Devin Street for a 79-yard touchdown pass on Pitt's first offensive play. The Panthers never trailed.

Syracuse (4-2, 1-1) tied the game, 7-7, on a one-yard touchdown run on the its ensuing drive, but Sunseri and the Panthers offense ate up the Orange the rest of the half.

A 15-yard touchdown pass from Sunseri to running back Ray Graham gave Pitt a 14-7 lead late in the first quarter. Sunseri threw his third touchdown pass of the day, a 30-yarder to Mike Shanahan, with 9:39 left in the second quarter to make it 21-7. Dion Lewis added a one-yard TD run a little over six minutes later to make it 28-7 at the half.

Any hopes of a Syracuse comeback was essentially dashed when the its first possession of the third quarter ended in an interception that Pitt defensive back Ricky Gary returned 80 yards for a score to put the Panthers up 35-7.

Sunseri completed 17-of-24 passes for 266 yards while Dion Lewis and Graham combined for 133 yards rushing.

Ryan Nassib threw for 231 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice for Syracuse, which was looking for its first 5-1 start since 1999.
