When: 6:00 PM ET, Saturday, March 2, 2024
Where: Stegeman Coliseum, Athens, Georgia
Officials: # Rob Rorke, # Bart Lenox, # Don Daily

Tyrece Radford recorded his second straight double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, to help Texas A&M hold off host Georgia 70-56 Saturday in Athens, Ga.

With the win, the Aggies (16-13, 7-9 SEC) snapped a five-game losing streak and won for only the fifth time in a true road game.

Manny Obaseki and Andersson Garcia helped make it possible, scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively, as A&M outscored Georgia 12-2 in the final 7:39.

Blue Cain finished with 11 to lead the Bulldogs (15-14, 5-11), who did not score in the final 6:35 on their way to a third consecutive loss. Jabri Abdur-Rahim added 10 for Georgia, which is winless in the last five meetings against the Aggies.

Leading just 34-32 at the half, A&M started the second half on a 6-0 run, capped by a Radford layup with 16:09 left.

The Bulldogs answered and closed the gap to 40-37 thanks to the second 3-pointer of the day from Abdur-Rahim with 15:27 to go.

It remained a tightly contested game from there, though the Aggies always seemed to stay a few steps ahead of the Bulldogs. Radford's 3-pointer with 10:37 remaining pushed the A&M lead to 53-47.

Wade Taylor IV extended the Aggies' lead to double digits with 3:08 to play, hitting a floating jumper to push the advantage to 66-56.

The first half was tight as well.

Georgia led 21-15 with just under 11 minutes to play in the opening half of its senior night on the strength of six 3-pointers.

But it didn't rattle A&M, which took the lead back at 23-21 on a 3-pointer from Garcia with 8:22 left.

Georgia answered, however, and eventually tied the game at 24-24 on a 3-pointer from RJ Melendez at the 7:20 mark.

The teams were tied again at 31-31 with a little over a minute to play before Jace Carter connected from long range to give the Aggies the lead with 53 seconds remaining.

The 3-point shot was a major storyline of the half as the two teams combined for 13, including eight by the Bulldogs. Georgia, however, shot just 2-for-20 from long range in the second half.
