Tony Perkins made a layup with 1.3 seconds to go in overtime and Iowa held on for an 88-86 win over No. 20 Wisconsin in a Big Ten Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon in Iowa City, Iowa.

Owen Freeman scored 20 points on 6-for-6 shooting from the field and 8-for-11 shooting from the free-throw line to lead Iowa (15-11, 7-8 Big Ten). Perkins and Payton Sandfort each scored 18 points.

Steven Crowl scored 22 points to lead Wisconsin (17-9, 9-6). AJ Storr finished with 21 points on 8-for-18 shooting, and Chucky Hepburn had 18 points and nine rebounds.

Iowa outscored Wisconsin 10-8 in overtime to notch the narrow win.

Perkins made a pair of free throws to make it 74-65 in favor of Iowa with 7:06 left in regulation.

The Badgers rallied with a 9-0 run to even the score at 74-74 with 3:16 left. Max Klesmit made a layup off an assist from Tyler Wahl to finish the run.

Iowa took a 76-74 lead on Freeman's layup with 3:00 left.

Forty seconds later, Wisconsin pulled back even at 76-76 on a Hepburn jump shot. Wahl turned to his left hand for a layup to give the Badgers a 78-76 lead with 1:02 left.

Iowa tied the score at 78-78 with 42 seconds left. Coming out of a timeout, Perkins caught the inbounds pass and drove in for a layup.

Both teams missed shots on their final possession to prompt overtime.

Hepburn made a layup to give Wisconsin a 58-57 edge with 13:16 remaining in the second half.

Iowa grabbed a 59-58 edge on a jump shot by Perkins with 13:07 to play. The Hawkeyes stayed aggressive and stretched their lead to 67-61 on a jump shot by Josh Dix with 9:18 to go.

Wisconsin led 47-43 at the half.

The Badgers jumped out to a 35-22 lead just over 12 minutes into the first half. John Blackwell made a layup off an assist by Hepburn to put Wisconsin ahead by 13 with 7:56 left before the break.

Iowa closed the first half on a 21-12 run to cut the deficit to four points. Dix started the run with five straight points by making a layup and a 3-pointer.
