Jamorko Pickett scored 19 points and Dante Harris added 15 Friday as eighth-seeded Georgetown upset fifth-seeded Seton Hall 66-58 in the semifinals of the Big East tournament in New York City.

Harris sealed the victory by making three free throws with 21.4 seconds remaining after he was fouled on a 3-point attempt and the Hoyas leading by just 61-58.

Qudus Wahab contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for Georgetown, which will face second-seeded Creighton or third-seeded Connecticut for the tournament title on Saturday.

Georgetown (12-12) has not appeared in the title game since 2010.

Jared Rhoden led Seton Hall (14-13) with 22 points. Sandro Mamukelashvili added eight points and 10 rebounds and five assists, but shot just 3 of 16 in scoring 10 points under his average for the season.

Chudier Bile seemed to spark Georgetown when he knocked down a difficult corner jumper with 11:20 remaining in the first half, giving the Hoyas a 17-13 lead.

After an empty Seton Hall possession, Harris hit a driving layup and Jahvon Blair followed with a 3-pointer, and suddenly it was a nine-point Hoya advantage, 22-13.

After Shavar Reynolds responded with a short jumper for Seton Hall, Bile made a trey from the corner, extending the advantage to 29-18 before the Hall made an 11-3 run to close to within 36-34 at the half.

Rhoden's 14 first-half points kept the Pirates close, and early in the second half, he hit a 3-point shot to tie the score at 39.

The Hoyas scored the next five points -- a runner in the lane by Blair and a 3-pointer by Harris -- for a 44-39 advantage.

But still, Seton Hall scrambled back, and when Mamukelashvili made a free throw with 6:19 remaining, the Pirates led, 53-52.

Yet, when Harris hit a twisting layup with 2:25 left, the Hoyas moved ahead 57-55.

But Mamukelashvili came back with a tough shot in the lane as he sprawled to the court to equalize at 57. He missed the free throw, however, failing to complete the three-point play.

Bile responded with a three-point play with 1:36 remaining for a 60-57 Georgetown lead.
