Micah Potter scored 18 points and Brevin Pritzl and Nate Reuvers each added 17 to lead Wisconsin to a 79-71 victory against Rutgers on Sunday in Madison, Wis.

D'Mitrik Trice scored five of his eight points in the final 2:47 as the Badgers (17-10, 10-6 Big Ten) held on. He also had a career-high nine assists.

Potter, a junior transfer, shot 6 of 8 overall -- including four 3-pointers -- coming off the bench for Wisconsin, which posted its fourth straight victory.

Brad Davison had 15 points to round out the Badgers' double-figure scorers.

Ron Harper Jr. scored 21 points for the Scarlet Knights (18-10, 9-8), who failed to overcome a scoring drought during the final 3:21 of the first half. Harper scored 15 second-half points for Rutgers, which has lost two consecutive games.

Geo Baker, who scored 22 points against Wisconsin in December, had 16 points.

Harper's 3-pointer trimmed Wisconsin's lead to 70-64 with 2:52 remaining in regulation. The Badgers then sank seven free throws to secure the decision.

Wisconsin shot 11 of 22 from 3-point range. The team has hit 10 or more 3-pointers in four straight games.

Rutgers shot 7 of 10 from the free-throw line. Wisconsin hit 20 of 26 foul shots.

Potter, who became eligible on Dec. 21, did not play in Wisconsin's first game against the Scarlet Knights, who earned a 72-65 home win on Dec. 12.

The Badgers closed the first half on an 8-0 run, capped by Potter's 3-pointer with two seconds left. Wisconsin led 39-36 at halftime.

Reuvers delivered 14 first-half points for Wisconsin.
