Trey Porter scored 14 points, and Jordan Caroline and Caleb Martin each added 13 points as No. 7 Nevada cruised to an 82-49 Mountain West victory over Wyoming on Saturday night in Laramie, Wyo.

Jazz Johnson scored 12 points, hitting 4 of 5 3-point attempts, and Tre'Shawn Thurman finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolf Pack (24-1, 11-1 Mountain West). Nevada earned its 10th consecutive win by shooting 54.4 percent from the floor and outrebounding the Cowboys 40-28.

Justin James, who came into the contest leading the Mountain West with an average of 20.9 points per game, scored a game-high 16 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists for Wyoming (6-19, 2-10). Trevon Taylor added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Cowboys, who shot just 30 percent from the field.

The Wolf Pack avenged a 104-103 double overtime loss to the Cowboys in Laramie last season. Nevada, trying to become the first team in Mountain West history to win three consecutive outright regular-season championships, holds a 1 1/2 game lead over Utah State and Fresno State, both 10-3, with six games to go.

The Wolf Pack never trailed in the contest, jumping out to a 28-11 lead in the first 11 minutes behind nine points by Cody Martin and eight by Thurman en route to a 36-20 halftime lead. Nevada outshot the Cowboys, 50 percent to 27.7 percent in the half, while also forcing 10 turnovers that it converted into 17 points.

Wyoming closed to within 38-24 on a fastbreak layup by James with 17:52 to go. Nevada came back to push the lead to 48-25 with a 7-0 run capped by a 3-pointer by Caleb Martin.

Two free throws by Porter, who had four dunks in the second half, made it 74-41, and the Cowboys never got closer than 30 points the rest of the way.
