Kylor Kelley converted a Tres Tinkle assist into a go-ahead dunk with 3:54 to play and Tinkle capped a 14-point effort with six late free throws Saturday afternoon, allowing Oregon State to outlast Southern California 67-62 in a Pacific-12 Conference men's basketball game in Los Angeles.

The win, coupled with a 79-74 overtime victory at home in January, allowed Oregon State (17-9, 9-5) to sweep the season series from USC (15-13, 8-7) for the first time since 2014.

The Trojans swept the previous two season series from the Beavers, including a 3-0 run last year that included a win at the Pac-12 Tournament.

Kelley's dunk came 19 seconds after Jonah Mathews gave USC its first lead of the second half at 56-55 on a 3-pointer with 3:54 remaining.

The Trojans then went scoreless on their next seven possessions, missing three 3-pointers and two layups while mixing in two turnovers.

Meanwhile, Tinkle dropped in two free throws with 2:44 remaining, another two with 1:41 left and then a fifth and a sixth with 27 seconds to go, helping Oregon State open a 65-56 lead.

Shaqquan Aaron ended USC's drought with a 3-pointer with 22 seconds left to make it a six-point game, but Oregon State held on for its fifth road win in nine outings this season.

Kelley and Stephen Thompson Jr. led the Beavers with 15 points apiece, while Tinkle completed a double-double with a game-high 13 rebounds to go with seven assists.

Thompson and Tinkle made six free throws apiece as the Beavers won the game from the line, going 15 of 19 while USC went 0 of 6.

Ethan Thompson added 12 points for Oregon State, which was coming off a 68-67 loss at UCLA on Thursday night.

Mathews had 15 points to pace USC, which was playing its final home game of the season.

Bennie Boatwright, a senior, capped his home career with the Trojans with 13 points and Aaron finished with 12, while Kevin Porter Jr. contributed an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double.

USC outshot Oregon State 44.3 percent to 41.8 percent for the game.

Zach Reichle capped an 11-2 run early in the second half that allowed the Beavers to go up 42-32 with 16:50 remaining.

Neither team led by more than six points in a tightly contested first half that ended with Oregon State claiming a 31-27 advantage.
