The game remained close through most of the first half. Auburn took a 10-7 lead on a dunk by Anfernee McLemore. Arkansas went up 16-14 on a 3-pointer by Macon.

The Tigers led by one after a jumper by Ronnie Johnson with 4:39 to play in the first half. The Razorbacks then ended the half with a 13-3 run to take a 40-31 lead into the break. Barford made three consecutive baskets and Hannahs converted a three-point play to lead the late surge.

The Razorbacks stretched their lead to double digits on a basket by Barford early in the second half and went up 44-31 on a putback by Moses Kingsley. The Tigers battled back to cut the deficit to eight on a jumper by T.J. Dunans.

Auburn later got within six on a dunk by McLemore midway through the second half, but Arkansas responded with a 10-3 run to take a 65-52 lead on a jumper by Barford.

The Tigers made one more push to get within six on a 3-pointer by Bryce Brown, but a big basket by Thompson and free throws from Barford helped the Razorbacks withstand the charge.

Arkansas shot 50 percent from the field and amassed a 38-29 rebounding advantage. Auburn shot just 37.1 percent despite making 10 of 24 from 3-point range.
