Purdue big men A.J. Hammons, Caleb Swanigan and Isaac Haas combined for 35 points Monday night, and No. 11 Purdue pulled away from IUPUI 80-53 in Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Ind.

Hammons led five Boilermakers in double figures with 14 points. Swanigan had 11 points and 14 rebounds, and Haas added 10 points.

Guard Kendall Stephens scored 13 for the Boilermakers, who are 9-0 for the first time since the 2009-2010 team won its first 14 games.

Purdue led IUPUI only 49-41 with 13:06 to play before a 24-1 burst put the game away. Hammons scored 10 during that game-deciding run.

The Jaguars (3-7) got 14 points from guard Darell Combs but went cold from the field after closing to within eight points with 13:06 to play. IUPUI shot 32.8 percent from the floor, while Purdue hit 51.9 percent of its field-goal attempts.

Purdue has won each of its nine games by at least 12 points.
