LSU 72, Weber State 58: Jordan Mickey scored a game-high 27 points and Keith Hornsby added 18 as the Tigers won their consolation bracket matchup against the Wildcats in the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.

LSU (3-1) moves on to play Clemson in Monday's fifth-place game. The Tigers pulled away late in the game thanks to Mickey, who connected on 13-of-24 shots while grabbing 14 rebounds.

Weber State, which lost to Illinois State in the tournament’s first round, plays Nevada on Monday for seventh place. Joel Bolomboy scored 18 points while Jeremy Senglin added 15 points for the Wildcats (1-3).

A deep 3-pointer by Bolomboy pulled Weber State within 57-51 with 7:19 left but two free throws by Hornsby and a layup by Jarell Martin quickly built LSU’s lead back to 10 points. The Wildcats made another push and cut the lead to 61-55 with 5:16 remaining but LSU settled matters with a layup by Martin, and a 3-pointer and dunk by Mickey for a 68-55 lead.

LSU took a 28-27 lead into intermission after ending the half connecting on just one of its last nine field goals while Weber State was 3-for-3. Hornsby hit a layup with 5:34 left in the first half that gave the Tigers a 26-16 lead but they scored only one more field goal for the remainder of the half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hornsby finished with 12 first-half points while Mickey added 10. …After LSU made 10 of its first 12 shots to start the second half, the Tigers missed seven of their next eight. … Martin finished with 11 points and four rebounds for the Tigers.
