No. 17 Oklahoma 67, TCU 60: Buddy Hield had 21 points and a career-high 13 rebounds as the Sooners needed a late run to beat the visiting Horned Frogs.

TaShawn Thomas chipped in 15 points and eight boards for Oklahoma (20-8, 11-5 Big 12), which has won eight of its last nine. Ryan Spangler and Isaiah Cousins each had 10 points while the Sooners bench contributed just three points and four rebounds.

Kyan Anderson and Trey Zeigler each had 16 points to lead TCU (17-12, 4-12). Chris Washburn added 10 points and six rebounds while Zeigler also recorded six boards, five assists and three steals.

Hield's 3-pointer with 7 1/2 minutes left in the first half gave Oklahoma a 24-23 lead but the Sooners finished the half 0-of-7 with four turnovers as TCU went on a 13-4 run, getting a 3-pointer and a jumper from Anderson on the way to a 36-28 lead at the break. Cousins and Hield hit 3-pointers as Oklahoma opened the second half on a 12-6 spurt and Hield tied the game at 48-48 with another triple with just under 11 minutes left.

Anderson and Zeigler answered with a 7-2 run for a 53-48 lead before the Sooners finished the game on a 17-5 scoring spree. Thomas scored eight straight points early in the run, including a go-ahead layup for Oklahoma's first lead since late in the first half with 3:37 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Horned Frogs took a train to Norman, Okla., because the bus company could not make the trip due to the winter weather. The scheduled 3 1/2-hour train ride took nearly eight hours and the team arrived in Norman at 1 a.m. Saturday. ... Anderson made his 114th career start, tying Darrell Browder for third place on TCU's career list and trailing Reggie Smith's school record by seven. ... Oklahoma improved to 13-1 at home and 16-2 all-time against TCU.
