No. 15 Louisville 52, Georgia Tech 51: Terry Rozier scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half as the visiting Cardinals rallied past the Yellow Jackets to avoid a damaging loss.

Rozier overcame a 1-for-8 start to spark Louisville (22-6, 10-5 ACC) in the second half. Wayne Blackshear tallied 10 points and eight rebounds while Montrezl Harrell added eight points, eight boards and three steals for the Cardinals.

Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 13 points to lead Georgia Tech (12-16, 3-13), which has lost four of its last five. Demarco Cox added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets, who were 1-for-11 from 3-point range.

The Cardinals trailed 41-28 with 9 1/2 minutes left when Rozier heated up from outside, hitting three 3-pointers during a 14-2 run that cut the deficit to one with 5 1/2 minutes to play. Rozier drove to the bucket to give Louisville a 48-46 lead with a minute left and answered Georges-Hunt's tying basket by going coast to coast to put the Cardinals back on top with 20.7 seconds left before a Chinanu Onuaku block and a pair of Wayne Blackshear free throws sealed it.

Georgia Tech held Louisville to 25 percent from the field in the first half and led for much of the period, opening up a 24-17 halftime lead after Tadric Jackson's slam in the final minute. The Yellow Jackets withstood a rally early in the second half and held the Cardinals scoreless for nearly five minutes as they extended the lead to 13 just after the midway point of the half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Louisville media outlets reported Monday that PG Chris Jones, who was dismissed from the team Sunday, sent a threatening text message to a female acquaintance, according to a campus police report. … Louisville had more turnovers (nine) than made field goals (seven) in the first half and was held below 20 points in the opening half for the third time in ACC play this season. … Eleven of Georgia Tech's 13 conference losses have come by seven points or fewer.
