No. 8 Kansas 81, TCU 72: Perry Ellis scored 15 of his 23 points in the second half and grabbed seven rebounds as the Jayhawks won their 22nd straight home game.

Freshman Devonte Graham converted all seven of his field-goal attempts – including two 3-pointers – en route to a career-high 20 points for Kansas (22-5, 11-3 Big 12), which maintained its one-game lead in the conference over Iowa State. Frank Mason III chipped in 14 points as the Jayhawks posted their second-highest field-goal percentage of the season (58.3).

Trey Zeigler finished with a season-high 20 points for TCU (16-11, 3-11), which fell to 5-45 in league action since joining the conference in 2012-13 and saw its first winning streak in Big 12 play snapped. Kyan Anderson added 14 points and seven assists while Amric Fields had 11 points for the Horned Frogs.

Neither team held more than a four-point edge over the first 16 ½ minutes of the contest until Graham nailed consecutive 3-pointers and scored eight points to fuel a 17-6 surge that gave Kansas an eight-point lead with less than a minute before intermission. Anderson opened the second half with a four-point play as TCU was able to quickly close within two before Ellis contributed three buckets during a 10-2 run that extended the Jayhawks’ advantage to double figures for the first time at 47-37.

Kansas went without a field goal for a four-minute stretch as the Horned Frogs halved the deficit, but Graham sandwiched a pair of layups around a jumper while Ellis closed a 19-8 surge with a three-point play and a breakaway dunk to stretch the margin to 16. TCU scored the next nine points and rallied within six following a three-point play by Zeigler with 3:50 to go, but could get no closer as the Jayhawks hit nine of their final 10 free throws.
