TCU 69, Kansas State 55:
Chris Washburn scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the host Horned Frogs won their second straight following a seven-game losing streak.

Karviar Shepherd added 12 points and eight boards and Kenrich Williams scored 11 as TCU (16-10, 3-10 Big 12) avenged a 58-53 loss last month and beat Kansas State for the first time in six meetings since joining the Big 12 Conference. Amric Fields contributed 10 points off the bench for the Horned Frogs, who blew most of a 20-point halftime lead before retaking control.

Nino Williams had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (13-14, 6-8), who lost for the sixth time in seven games. Tre Harris also scored 14 points - all in the second half - and Thomas Gipson added 12 as Kansas State fell to 1-8 on the road.

Leading 16-15 with 7:48 left in the first half, TCU ripped off 19 unanswered points to take a seemingly commanding 35-15 lead into the break. The Wildcats were held without a field goal for the final 9 1/2 minutes and shot a dreadful 4-of-25 in the opening 20 minutes.

Harris was inserted into the starting lineup in the second half and scored seven points in a 13-0 burst as Kansas State whittled the deficit to 37-30 with just over 14 minutes remaining. The Wildcats got as close as six points before the Horned Frogs went on a 10-0 run to surge ahead 51-35 with 7:48 to play and never let the lead get under double digits the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: TCU G Kyan Anderson (1,519 points) moved past Kurt Thomas for sixth place on the school's career scoring list. ... Kansas State's 16-percent shooting in the first 20 minutes was the third-lowest percentage for a half in school history. ... Gipson and TCU's Trey Zeigler were whistled for technical fouls less than a minute apart in the second half.
