Foster, who connected on a trey late in overtime Jan. 10 to give Kansas State a 66-63 road win, hit a deep 3 with 3.4 seconds left for the Wildcats (13-13, 6-7 Big 12), who snapped a five-game losing streak. Kansas State, which also received 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds from Nino Williams, shot a season-low 26.5 percent from the field but made full use of advantages at the free-throw line (28-13) and on the glass (36-27).

Buddy Hield scored 14, Jordan Woodard added 13 and TaShawn Thomas had 10 points for Oklahoma (17-8, 8-5), which had its five-game win streak snapped. The Sooners, who saw second-leading scorer and top rebounder Ryan Spangler foul out with six points and a team-most seven rebounds with 8:17 to play, were outrebounded 14-7 on the offensive glass and finished 3-of-17 from 3-point range.

Oklahoma took its largest lead at 35-29 two minutes into the second half, but Justin Edwards drilled a 3-pointer to cap a 13-2 run for Kansas State, giving the hosts a 42-37 advantage with 12:04 left. The Wildcats remained in front until Woodard’s steal and two free throws capped a 7-0 run and tied the contest at 56 with 1:31 left, but Wesley Iwundu’s offensive rebound in traffic set up Foster’s long 3-pointer in the waning seconds and the Sooners' Isaiah Cousins missed both free throws after getting fouled with 1.4 to play.

Kansas State’s only first-half lead came at 4-3 and wound up hitting only 6-of-26 shots from the field in the first 20 minutes, but trailed 28-27 at the break thanks largely to a 13-1 advantage at the free-throw line. Oklahoma’s biggest lead in the opening half was five points, but the Sooners didn’t score in the final 2:45 of the period.
