Auburn 81, LSU 77: KT Harrell made five 3-pointers en route to a season-high 28 points as Auburn edged LSU for its first true road victory of the season in eight tries.

Antoine Mason contributed a season-high 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and five steals for Auburn (11-11, 3-6 SEC), which made 9-of-20 from behind the arc. Cinmeon Bowers added 16 points and 10 rebounds as his team outscored LSU 9-4 in the final 63 seconds to end a four-game losing streak.

Jordan Mickey led the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds while Jarell Martin scored 14 to go along with 16 boards for LSU (16-6, 5-4), which lost its second straight. Tim Quarterman chipped in with 17 points of the bench and Keith Hornsby added 11 for LSU, which turned the ball over down two in the final seconds.

Harrell scored 13 and Mason added 11 in the first half as Auburn led by as many as eight before Martin and Quarterman helped pull LSU within 41-39 at intermission. Harrell scored seven points early in the second half and K.C. Ross-Miller’s 3-pointer gave Auburn a 53-46 edge with 14:26 to go.

LSU battled its way back in front by scoring 14 of the next 19 points, but Harrell scored the next five and Auburn went on to build a 72-67 lead with 2:47 left. LSU answered with the next six to take the lead with 1:19 to go before Bowers scored inside and Mason hit two free throws for a lead Auburn never relinquished.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Harrell has made at least three 3-pointers in 12 games this season. … LSU turned the ball over 15 times – the seventh time in nine SEC games they have had at least that number. … Auburn led at halftime for the 10th time in 22 games and is 8-2 in those contests.
