No. 19 Baylor 77, TCU 57: Rico Gathers recorded 14 points and 17 rebounds as the Bears trounced the visiting Horned Frogs.

Gathers added to his national-leading total with six more offensive boards and also had three blocks as Baylor (17-5, 5-4 Big 12) improved to 4-1 in its last five games. Kenny Chery pitched in 11 of his 13 points in the first half, while Taurean Prince scored all 11 of his points in the opening session.

Royce O'Neale added 12 points and Lester Medford notched 10 for the Bears, who made half of their 12 3-pointers and dominated the glass, 43-29. Amric Fields totaled 14 points while Kenrich Williams and Trey Zeigler each scored 11 as the Horned Frogs (14-8, 1-8) suffered their fifth straight defeat.

Chery's six points helped Baylor jump out to an 8-0 lead and the senior guard answered Fields' 3-pointer with one of his own after the Horned Frogs got within 26-23 late in the period. Prince delivered a 3-pointer and a layup in the final two minutes as the Bears led 37-29 at the break.

TCU was within 45-39 with roughly 15 minutes to play when O'Neale recorded a three-point play and drained a 3-pointer on back-to-back trips in advance of five straight points by Al Freeman as the cushion bulged to 58-39. The Horned Frogs got as close as 13 points with 11:46 remaining before the Bears restored the advantage to as much as 23 points down the stretch.
