South Carolina 91, North Carolina A&T 54: Mindaugas Kacinas recorded a season-high 16 points and seven rebounds to pace the host Gamecocks.

Laimonas Chatkevicius posted 14 points and nine rebounds for South Carolina (8-3), which led 47-16 at halftime and cruised to its sixth straight win. Kacinas was 5-of-5 from the field and Chatkevicius was 5-of-6 as the Gamecocks shot 56.6 percent as a team.

Bruce Beckford had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead North Carolina A&T (2-13), which snapped a 12-game losing streak its last time out but shot only 34.5 percent in this one. The Aggies committed 17 turnovers and were outrebounded 41-20.

The game was basically decided during a first half in which the Gamecocks shot 57.7 percent and held the Aggies to 23.1 percent, including 0-of-7 from 3-point range. Chatkevicius led South Carolina with nine points and five rebounds as the hosts held a commanding 23-6 rebounding advantage in the opening 20 minutes.

After jumping out to first-half leads of 8-0, 23-6 and 40-12, the Gamecocks began the second half by scoring 11 of the first 13 points. Duane Notice chipped in 13 points and Demetrius Henry added 10 for South Carolina.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Gamecocks' six-game winning streak is their longest since the 2010-11 season. ... Notice had led South Carolina in scoring in each of the previous four games. ... North Carolina A&T shot 12-of-15 from the foul line while South Carolina also was efficient, connecting on 28-of-34 foul shots.
