TCU 88, UTSA 57: Brandon Parrish scored 18 points while Kyan Anderson collected 16 points and nine assists as the Horned Frogs routed the visiting Roadrunners to remain unbeaten.

Kenrich Williams had 12 points and seven rebounds for TCU (11-0), which is off to its best start in school history. Trey Zeigler scored 10 points while Chris Washburn added eight points and eight boards as the Horned Frogs shot 60.8 percent and outrebounded UTSA 40-18.

Keon Lewis led the Roadrunners (4-5) with 23 points while Jeromie Hill scored nine points on 4-of-11 shooting. Ryan Bowie contributed eight points for UTSA, which came in averaging 76.9 points but was held to 32.6 percent shooting, including 3-of-16 from 3-point range.

The Horned Frogs outscored UTSA 24-8 over the final seven minutes of the first half and took a 43-26 lead into the break. Lewis scored 13 points in the opening period for the Roadrunners, who trailed by 23 after Washburn followed up a miss with a thunderous dunk midway through the second half.

Anderson was 6-of-11 from the floor and moved into 10th place on the Horned Frogs’ all-time scoring list with a 3-pointer that extended the lead to 73-45 with 8:17 left. UTSA, which concluded its four-game road trip with a 2-2 mark, missed 10 of its first 12 shots in the second half and never threatened after the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: TCU improved to 26-4 when leading at the half under coach Trent Johnson. … The Horned Frogs have won 12 straight games in December dating back to last season. … TCU, which finished 9-22 last season, closes the month with home games against Grambling State and Tennessee State before opening Big 12 play against West Virginia on Jan. 3.
