Buddy Hield hit five 3-pointers on the way to 19 points as the Sooners topped the visiting Bears.

Isaiah Cousins added a career-high 21 points and a team-high seven rebounds for Oklahoma (18-6, 7-4 Big 12), which keeps sole possession of third place in the league. Cameron Clark went 7-of-8 from the floor for 16 points and Jordan Woodard had nine points and seven assists.

Isaiah Austin hit three first-half 3-pointers and led Baylor (14-9, 2-8) with 21 points and six rebounds. Brady Heslip added 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the 3-point line.

Hield missed his first shot but hit his next six and joined Clark to score 26 of Oklahoma's first 29 points. Heslip and Gary Franklin hit late 3-pointers to get Baylor within 40-35 with just over two minutes left in the first half, but Tyler Neal answered with the Sooners' 11th 3 for an eight-point halftime lead.

Oklahoma had three inside baskets and Neal added a 3-pointer during an 11-0 run for a 68-52 lead with about 10 1/2 left. Baylor answered with an 11-3 run but never got closer than eight points, and Oklahoma hit 13-of-15 free throws in the final six-plus minutes to seal the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oklahoma F Ryan Spangler, who entered the game averaging a double-double, was held scoreless for the first time this season. ... Hield has at least three made 3-pointers in eight conference games. ... The Sooners went 11-of-18 from the 3-point line in the first half and shot 64 percent from the floor before finishing the game at a 53.6 percent clip.
