Oklahoma 91, Texas-Arlington 89: Cameron Clark made two free throws with nine seconds left and finished with 31 points as the Sooners edged the visiting Mavericks for their sixth straight victory.

Buddy Hield added 19 points and Ryan Spangler tallied 16 for Oklahoma (10-1), which remained unbeaten in seven meetings against UT Arlington after Brandon Edwards' long-range shot missed the mark at the buzzer. The Sooners shot 49.2 percent from the field and were 11-of-24 from beyond the arc.

UT Arlington (4-7) had its two-game winning streak snapped despite 30 points from Oklahoma State transfer Reger Dowell, who shot 11-for-17 and made five 3-pointers. Jamel Outler poured in 17 points, including five 3-pointers, and Edwards chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds.

The Mavericks trailed by 12 midway through the second half before Edwards’ dunk capped an 8-0 run and tied the game at 81 with 6:03 remaining. Oklahoma moved ahead 89-83 with 3:01 left before the Mavericks pulled even again with six straight points.

Freshman Jordan Woodard had a career-high 12 assists and one turnover for Oklahoma, which led 45-41 at the half. Clark, who scored a career-high 32 points against Michigan State last month, was 11-of-18 from the field and made five of his seven shots from 3-point range.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Spangler, who sat out the second half of the Sooners’ win over Tulsa on Saturday with a calf injury, made six of his seven shots and grabbed eight rebounds. … The Sooners have scored at least 40 points in 19 of their 22 halves this season. … Dowell entered the game ranked 13th nationally at 22.7 points per game.
