The Sooners overcame a slow start to the second half with a 10-1 run as Booker followed Hield's three-point play with a 3-pointer and transition layup for a 56-32 lead with less than 12 minutes left. Thomas had eight points in the second half, recording his double-double on an offensive rebound and putback in the final minute.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Thomas, who is from Oklahoma City, missed the Islander's first nine games with a broke jaw and played Thursday's game with a protective mask. ... Hield has scored in double figures in all eight games after just seven such contests last season. ... The game was originally scheduled to start at 7 p.m. local time, but was moved up to 2 p.m. to beat an ice storm which was to move into the area.
