Rutgers 56, Seton Hall 51: Myles Mack scored 15 points and Jerome Seagears added 10 as the visiting Scarlet Knights held off their Garden State rivals.

Malick Kone added eight points off the bench for Rutgers (14-15, 5-13 Big East), which snapped a five-game losing streak and won for the second time in 13 games - both against the Pirates.

Brian Oliver scored 12 points to lead four players in double figures for Seton Hall (14-17, 3-15), which dropped to 10-3 when leading at halftime after taking a 25-23 lead into the break. The Pirates have lost 11 of their last 12.

The Scarlet Knights opened the second half with a 15-3 run and scored eight straight points to take a 38-28 lead - the largest of the game for either team. Aaron Cosby made a pair of 3-pointers during a 12-2 spurt, however, and Seton Hall pulled even at 40 on Oliver's 3-pointer with 11:22 left.

There were four lead changes and two ties over the final 10 minutes before Mack hit a pair of free throws with 4:22 left to give Rutgers the lead for good.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rutgers completed a season sweep of the Pirates for the first time since 2000-01 and will finish ahead of Seton Hall in the Big East standings for the first time since 2001-02. … Rutgers has won three straight against Seton Hall, the longest win streak in the series since 1977-80. … The Scarlet Knights will be the No. 11 seed in the Big East tournament and will face No. 14 DePaul in the first round Tuesday. Seton Hall will be either the No. 12 or 13 seed and face South Florida.
