No. 20 Marquette 67, Seton Hall 46: Vander Blue scored 19 points and Davante Gardner added 18 off the bench as the visiting Golden Eagles pulled away in the second half to complete a season sweep of the Pirates.

Jamil Wilson contributed 10 points and nine rebounds as Marquette (19-6, 10-3 Big East) moved one-half game ahead of Syracuse and Georgetown for first place in the Big East.

Gardner scored 14 of his points in the second half and had 10 in a 25-1 game-breaking run as the Golden Eagles handed Seton Hall (13-14, 2-12) its eighth consecutive defeat.

Fuquan Edwin scored 14 points and Aaron Cosby had 11 for the Pirates, who shot a miserable 29.4 percent and finished 7 of 27 from 3-point range.

The Pirates took their last lead at 33-32 on Tom Maayan's basket with 17:50 to play but Marquette ripped off 17 unanswered points to take command. Wilson's 3-pointer capped the 25-1 burst as the Golden Eagles held Seton Hall without a field goal for nearly 9 1/2 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Trent Lockett had nine points and eight rebounds to help Marquette to a dominating 38-24 on the backboards. ... Seton Hall erased a seven-point deficit in the final 29 seconds of the first half, getting a layup from Edwin, a 3-pointer by Cosby and two free throws from Aaron Geramipoor to make it 27-27 at the half. ... The Golden Eagles, who beat Seton Hall 69-62 last month, have won 11 of the last 13 meetings between the schools.
