MISSOURI 71, OKLAHOMA 68: Marcus Denmon continued his hot shooting with 25 points, and Kim English hit a huge 3-pointer in the final minute to lead No. 4 Missouri to a rare road win at Oklahoma.

Denmon, coming off a 29-point outburst in a home win over Kansas on Saturday, nailed four 3-pointers for the Tigers (22-2, 9-2 Big 12), who won for only the third time in their last 10 trips to Norman.

Missouri led 36-33 and by as many as 10 points after the break, but Oklahoma (13-10, 3-8 Big 12) trimmed the lead to 68-66 on a Steven Pledger free throw with 1:21 remaining. Missouri’s Phil Pressey then drove and kicked to the corner, where English drained a wide-open 3-pointer to push the lead back to five.

The Sooners, who shot only 9-for-23 on free throws, had one last chance to tie the game trailing 71-68 with 2.5 seconds left, but Missouri opted to foul Romero Osby. Osby missed both free throws, the second of which was tapped out to Pledger, who misfired on a potential game-tying 3-pointer.

Pledger, who along with Denmon is a top-five scorer in the Big 12, led the Sooners with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Oklahoma hit its first six shots of the game to jump out to a 13-10 lead … Mizzou big man Ricardo Ratliffe, the nation’s leader in field-goal percentage, scored 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting … Both teams shot 54 percent from the field in the first half.
