Freshman forward Jordan Brown scored 16 points to lead a balanced attack as No. 6 Nevada cruised to a 90-55 nonconference victory over Cal Baptist on Monday night in Reno, Nev.

Caleb Martin finished with 14 points and five steals and fellow senior forward Trey Porter added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Wolf Pack (4-0). Junior guard Jazz Johnson added 11 points, senior forward Jordan Caroline had 10 points and 10 rebounds and senior forward Tre'Shawn Thurman had 10 points.

Sophomore guard Milan Acquaah and senior guard Jordan Heading scored 12 points apiece for Cal Baptist (2-2).

The Lancers were outrebounded 47-31 and shot just 31.1 percent from the field, including 6 of 25 from 3-point range.

Nevada shot 50.9 percent from the field, including 5 of 18 from 3-point range. The Wolf Pack made 27 of 38 free-throw attempts.

Cal Baptist was 11 of 17 from the line.

The Wolf Pack used a 19-0 burst that stretched over both halves to begin pulling away.

Nevada's lead was just eight before it rolled off the final 10 points of the half to take a 42-24 halftime advantage.

The run continued after the break as the Wolf Pack scored the final nine of the second half. Martin culminated the surge with a jumper to give Nevada a 51-24 lead with 16:07 remaining.

The lead reached 63-29 on a 3-pointer by senior guard Corey Henson with 12:02 left and the Wolf Pack kept a comfortable lead the rest of the way.

The Lancers played tough for the first eight minutes and held a 14-11 lead after a layup by junior center Zach Pirog with 12:16 left in the half.

Nevada erupted with the next nine points to open up a six-point lead but sophomore guard Ty Rowell drained a 3-pointer to pull Cal Baptist within 22-19 with 6:25 left.

Two free throws by Johnson gave the Wolf Pack their first double-digit lead at 32-21 with 3:25 left.
