Drew Eubanks and Tres Tinkle combined to score 38 points as the Oregon State Beavers pulled away from the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions in the second half for an 85-58 win on Saturday night at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore.

Tinkle and Eubanks both scored 19 points, with Tinkle doing most of his damage from long range. Eubanks, ranked fourth in the nation in field-goal percentage at 72 percent, went 6 of 10 from the field and 7 of 9 from the free-throw line.

With the victory, the Beavers (6-3) surpassed last season's win total when they finished 5-27. The Golden Lions fell to 0-10 and lost for the 16th straight time.

Oregon State went on 15-0 run midway through the second half to put the game out of reach. Until then, Arkansas-Pine Bluff put up a solid fight.

Harper Travon led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jackson Charles scored 14 and Joe'Randle Toliver added 12 points.

With the Golden Lions still within shouting distance, a jumper from Charles pulled Pine Bluff within eight at 57-49 with 10:43 left in the second half.

Two free throws from Eubanks and six straight points from Alfred Hollins pushed the lead to 65-49 and Beavers were never threatened again.

Cameron's layup with 5:32 left ended the Golden Lions' drought, but by then the Beavers' lead was 25.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff came to Corvallis as one of the worst offensive teams in the nation, averaging only 57.8 points per game (No. 350). They struggle to rebound (26 per game, No. 351) and aren't adept at dishing the ball.

Yet the Golden Lions trailed by only three at halftime.

Oregon State seemingly was in control early with a nine-point lead as the Beavers worked the ball in the paint where they had a sizable advantage with Eubanks.

But Toliver got hot from deep and hit four 3-pointers to bring the Golden Lions back. Arkansas-Pine Bluff took a 29-28 lead on a jumper by Travon.

The Beavers righted themselves and Tinkle hit a deep 3 from the corner to give Oregon State a three-point lead heading into the intermission.

Oregon State went on 15-0 run midway through the second half to put the game out of reach. Until then, Arkansas-Pine Bluff put up a solid fight.
