Florida got a game-high 16 points from junior guard Kasey Hill and a career performance from freshman forward Keith Stone to post a 65-56 victory over Miami on Sunday in the third-place game of the AdvoCare Invitational at HP Field House in Orlando, Fla.

Stone came into the game with only six points and six rebounds for the season but scored 15 points and snagged a team-high eight rebounds as the Gators (6-1) broke away from a 43-43 tie with an 8-2 run midway through the second half.

Stone was 5-of-8 from the field, including a pair of 3-point baskets. Junior forward Devin Robinson also was in double figures for Florida with 10 points.

The Hurricanes (4-2) overcame a 34-30 halftime deficit by scoring the first nine points of the second half, but the Gators regrouped after a timeout with 15:49 mark left and caught the Hurricanes at 41-41.

After pulling into a 51-45 lead, the Gators maintained leads of four to eight points over the final eight minutes until eventually building a 10-point cushion at 63-53 with only 47 seconds left in the game.

Miami freshman guard Bruce Brown matched his season high with 15 points to share team scoring honors with junior guard Ja'Quan Newton. Senior guard Davon Reed with 12 points and freshman forward Dewan Huell with 10 also were in double figures for the Hurricanes. Miami senior forward Kamari Murphy led all rebounders with 10.

The Gators shot 46.2 percent from the field (24-of-52) while the Hurricanes struggled from the field, shooting under 40 percent from the field for a second straight game in making only 23 of 61 attempts (37.7 percent).
