Braxton Key scored 16 points to help Alabama charge back for a 62-57 victory over Saint Louis on Wednesday night in the consolation game of the third annual Main Event at the MGM Garden Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Dazon Ingram added 10 points and five rebounds for Alabama (3-2).

Davell Roby had 15 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals for Saint Louis (2-3). Reggie Agbeko added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Crimson Tide trailed by nine with less than five minutes remaining. Key made two 3-pointers to fuel a 13-3 run that put Alabama up with just over one minute remaining.

The teams exchanged leads numerous times throughout the first half. Alabama went up 10-9 on a 3-pointer by Key. Saint Louis took a 23-22 lead on a 3-pointer by Aaron Hines. The Billikens extended the margin to five on two free throws by Roby, but they were clinging to a 30-29 lead at the break.

Alabama reclaimed the lead early in the second half, but Saint Louis took it back on consecutive 3-pointers by Mike Crawford and Elliott Welmer. The Billikens took a 48-43 lead on a three-point play by Crawford and went up 54-45 on a 3-pointer by Jalen Johnson, but the Tide stormed back with a 13-3 run.

The Tide went up 58-57 on a free throw by Key with 1:07 to play. Alabama made four free throws in the final 30 seconds to secure the victory.

Alabama shot 42.6 percent from the field, made 7 of 21 from 3-point range and converted 15 of 19 free-throw opportunities. Saint Louis shot 43.2 percent, made 6 of 15 from long distance and made 13 of 18 free-throw attempts. The Billikens committed 19 turnovers.
