Khadeen Carrington was quiet for the first 19 minutes, 30 seconds on Sunday before he took over in the last 30 seconds and saved Seton Hall.

The team's leading scorer came through with the final six points, including a three-point play with 24 seconds left, as Seton Hall edged Marquette 69-66 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Carrington, who was averaging just under 20 points per game, was held to six points before his final flurry.

Katin Reinhardt, who led Marquette with 17 points, put the Golden Eagles up 66-63 on a layup with 38 seconds to go.

Seton Hall's biggest lead was 54-47 around the midway point of the second half.

But Markus Howard made a layup and a 3-pointer to spark a 13-4 run that gave the Golden Eagles their first lead of the second half at 60-58 with 5:12 left.

Angel Delgado led Seton Hall with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Howard had 14 points. Jajuan Johnson chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds and tied a season high with six steals for Marquette.

Reinhardt made three 3-pointers during an early 13-2 run that gave the Golden Eagles a 22-12 lead with 10:54 to go in the first half. He came into the game shooting less than 30 percent from beyond the arc but connected on 5 of 7 first-half attempts.

Delgado was 6 of 7 from the field in the first 20 minutes and led Seton Hall with 12 points and six rebounds.

The Pirates scored the final six points of the half to take a 33-32 lead at the break. Seton Hall committed just two fouls in the half and the teams combined for just two free throw attempts.

Seton Hall, which had a six-game win streak stopped in a Wednesday loss to No. 10 Creighton, hosts DePaul on Saturday.

Marquette had won eight of nine since back-to-back losses in mid-November. The Golden Eagles travel to Philadelphia on Saturday for a matchup with top-ranked Villanova.
