Texas Tech's Antony Livingston scored 33 points, including three free throws with 2.7 seconds left, to lead the Red Raiders to a dramatic 85-84 win over visiting Rice on Saturday in a back-and-forth thriller at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas.

Rice was leading 84-79 with 25 seconds to play, before Texas Tech's Keenan Evans hit a 3-pointer to cut the Owls' lead to two.

Rice's Connor Cashaw missed two free throws, and Marcus Evans fouled Livingston on a 3-point attempt with just seconds left.

Livingston, a senior forward who was playing on his birthday, connected on three free throws to help the Red Raiders pull out the win and improve to 7-1. Texas Tech has won four in a row overall.

The late foul spoils a big game from Marcus Evans, who finished with 27 points, his third-straight 20-plus-point performance. The sophomore has reached 20 points in seven of the Owls' eight games this season.

Junior guard Egor Koulechov finished with 25 points for the Owls, who had their five-game winning streak snapped.

Evans finished with 14 points for the Red Raiders, who shot 54.7 percent from the floor and hit 20 of 23 free throws.

Livingston went 10 of 11 from the foul line and added seven rebounds to his game-high 33 points.

Texas Tech led 34-31 at halftime. The game remained close throughout the second half.

Koulechov hit a 3-pointer to give the Owls their first lead of the second half, 61-58, with 11 minutes to play.

Livingston answered right back with a 3-pointer, setting up a tight final 10 minutes that ended with the birthday boy draining three free throws to give his team a one-point win.
