There was good news to go around for Oklahoma State in Wednesday night's 102-66 rout of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Star point guard Jawun Evans returned after missing one game with a shoulder injury. Five Cowboys finished in double figures scoring. And Oklahoma State forced 31 turnovers, leading to the runaway win and improving to 8-2.

Guard Jeffrey Carroll led the Cowboys with 18 points, while forward Leyton Hammonds added 16 points and six rebounds. Guard Thomas Dziagwa had 14 points, guard Lindy Waters 13 and forward Cameron McGriff 10.

Evans, the team's leading scorer, added five points, although his return to health in time for a Saturday clash at Wichita State was the major storyline.

Forward Deshon Bayless led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 18 points off the bench, while guard Jaquan Lynch added 12 for the Golden Lions.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff fell to 1-10.

The game played out like much the stat sheet indicated.

OSU entered as the nation's No. 4 scoring team, averaging 92.6 points per game, while the Golden Lions ranked No. 343 at 58.8.

Oklahoma State led 53-28 at the half, after a somewhat slow start.

The Cowboys had two missed layups and two turnovers almost three minutes in and found themselves tied 6-6.

But Hammonds led a 26-8 run, scoring seven of his 11 first-half points during the spurt to send Oklahoma State in front 32-14. And the Cowboys were rolling.

Carroll had 13 in the half, among nine Oklahoma State players who scored. The Cowboys shot 53.8 percent from the floor in the period and turned a 22-9 edge on the boards into 13 second-chance points.

Bayless scored eight points off the bench to lead the Golden Lions.
