Clemson scored the game's last 15 points for a 73-68 victory against host Wake Forest in its Atlantic Coast Conference opener Saturday afternoon at Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Clemson's Marcquise Reed scored 21 points off the bench, converting a key four-point play in the second half.

Jaron Blossomgame added 14 points and Donte Grantham had 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Tigers opened ACC play with a road victory for only the eighth time.

Clemson (11-2, 1-0 ACC) took its first lead of the game with 1:15 remaining on Grantham's basket.

Wake Forest missed a pair of potential tying 3-point shots in the final minute before Blossomgame's dunk sealed it.

The outcome pushed Clemson's winning streak to nine games -- its longest since 2010-11.

John Collins scored 20 points and Bryant Crawford and Keyshawn Woods added 16 points apiece for Wake Forest (9-5, 0-2 ACC).

Wake Forest led 36-31 at halftime, with Crawford scoring the team's final five points before the break.

A four-point play by Reed drew the Tigers within 54-51, but Wake Forest racked up the next 10 points, capped by a Woods 3-pointer.

Clemson climbed back to within 68-67 and never let up.

Wake Forest was trying to win its ACC home opener for the fifth time in the last seven seasons.
