Four players scored in double figures as Northwestern wrapped up non-conference play with a 72-63 come-from-behind victory over Houston Baptist on Thursday at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

The Wildcats (11-2) won their eighth straight game and improved to 9-0 at home as Scottie Lindsey scored a game-high 19 points, Isiah Brown had 12 and Vic Law and Sanjay Lumpkin each added 11.

Colton Lasher and Atif Russell each scored 13 points, Alex Fountain had 11 while Reveal Chukwujekwu added 10 as the Huskies (4-6) dropped to 0-6 on the road.

Houston Baptist broke an 11-11 first-half tie with a 9-3 run and a 20-14 lead on Cody Stetler's jumper at the 10:45 mark. The Huskies later pulled out to a 33-21 advantage on a Lasher layup with 4:45 remaining on the way to a 35-25 halftime advantage.

Northwestern opened the second half with a 19-10 surge and took a 45-44 lead on Lumpkin's putback with 12:44 to play. The Wildcats took the lead for good with 11:26 left when Lindsey's 3-pointer made it 48-46.

Northwestern's lead hit double-digits at 63-52 with Vic Law's layup with 3:22 to play.

The Wildcats shot 24-of-67 (35.8 percent) from the field and hit just 7 of 25 from beyond the 3-point arc. The Huskies were 22-of-54 (40.7 percent) but managed just two 3s.

Northwestern improved to 2-0 all-time against the Huskies.

Thursday's game was also the final home game of 2016 for Northwestern, which is idle until next Tuesday when it opens Big Ten play at Penn State. Houston Baptist begins Southland Conference play next Thursday at Sam Houston State.
