Moritz Wagner had 18 points and seven rebounds and four other players scored in double figures to lead Michigan to a lopsided 97-53 win over Central Arkansas on Tuesday at Ann Arbor, Mich.

Michigan (8-3) set a program record with 19 3-pointers, breaking the previous mark of 17 set last season against Bryant and finishing just one made 3-point shot from tying the Big Ten record for a game set by Northwestern in 2009.

The Wolverines also attempted a program-record 45 shots from behind the 3-point line.

Wagner, a sophomore forward, was 8 of 9 from the field to help the Wolverines respond from a loss at No. 2 UCLA on Saturday.

Senior Zak Irvin scored 16 points, junior Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman had 14 points, senior Duncan Robinson scored 12 points and junior D.J. Wilson added 11 points for the Wolverines.

Michigan started to pull away midway through the first half, going on a 14-0 run to take a 33-11 lead with 6:41 remaining in the first half and building its lead at halftime to 29 points at 49-20.

The Wolverines made all seven of their two-point shot attempts and went 9 of 22 from behind the 3-point line in the first half.

Michigan didn't let up to start the second half, pushing its lead to 40 points at 66-26 with 16:00 remaining in the game. The Wolverines finished with a season-high 22 assists.

Junior Jordan Howard scored 14 points and senior Derreck Brooks had 12 points for Central Arkansas (1-9).

This was the first of a three-game homestand for Michigan before Big Ten play begins at Iowa on New Year's Day. The Wolverines will next host Maryland-Eastern Shore on Dec. 17 and Furman on Dec. 22.

Central Arkansas will return home to play Arkansas State on Friday night.
