BOXSCORE | RECAP
Wake Forest 78, NC-Greensboro 75
When: 7:00 PM ET, Friday, December 9, 2016
Where: Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, North Carolina
Officials: # Bruce Benedict, # John Hampton, # Glenn Tuitt
Attendance: 3607

Bryant Crawford's 3-point basket with two seconds left broke a tie to give Wake Forest a 78-75 victory against host North Carolina-Greensboro on Friday night at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Crawford dribbled toward the arc, then stepped back and took the long-range shot from the right wing.

The Spartans never got off another shot because Crawford intercepted a pass.

Crawford's final basket spoiled a big comeback staged by UNC-Greensboro, which wiped out a 16-point, second-half deficit.

Crawford and John Collins, who grabbed 13 rebounds, each finished with 17 points for Wake Forest (8-2), which has won all 10 meetings with the Spartans.

Wake Forest's Keyshawn Woods scored 16 points off the bench and teammate Dinos Mitoglou fouled out with 1:01 left with 11 points.

Diante Baldwin's basket with 28.6 seconds to play after a steal pulled UNCG even at 75-75, marking the last of his 18 points.

R.J. White racked up 22 points for the Spartans (7-3), whose six-game winning streak was snapped. The team had been off to its best start to a season in 12 years.

Wake Forest's 49-33 lead early in the second half shrank to 63-58 with nine minutes to play, with the Spartans missing three consecutive 3-point attempts before Francis Alonso's 3 made it 63-61.

Wake Forest led 43-31 at halftime.

UNCG was buoyed by 11 offensive rebounds in the first 17 minutes, nearly offsetting Wake Forest's 12-for-23 shooting from the field.

UNCG went ahead 28-27 with 5:51 left in the first half, but the Spartans didn't have another field goal before halftime.

UNCG shot 2 for 11 on 3-pointers in the first half, but made 6 of 11 from long range in the second half.

This was Wake Forest's fourth true road game (with another coming Dec. 17 at Xavier).
