Vladimir Brodziansky came off the bench to score 22 points, and TCU defeated Arkansas State 77-54 Saturday at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Horned Frogs knew they would have a battle on their hands with their Sun Belt Conference foe. The Red Wolves already knocked off Georgetown this season, but on this night, the Horned Frogs wore down the Red Wolves in the second half.

The Horned Frogs had a 39-35 lead with 13:32 left in the game when Brodziansky sank a pair of free throws to put TCU (8-0) up 41-35, and it looked as if the home team would take control.

However, the Red Wolves (7-2) kept it close and trailed only 51-46 when C.J. Foster connected on a long-range 3-pointer with 8:44 to go.

The home crowd was restless as Arkansas State still trailed by only 56-51 after a Rashad Lindsey layup with 6:40 to go.

That was when TCU decided to turn up the pressure, and the Horned Frogs went on a 19-3 run to end the game. The Red Wolves went scoreless the final 4:32.

Brodziansky was a perfect 7 of 7 from the field and corralled six rebounds in addition to blocking five shots.

Kenrich Williams recorded a double-double for the Horned Frogs with 15 points and 13 boards.

Devin Carter led the Red Wolves with 22 points, while Foster chipped in with 13.

TCU led 30-29 at halftime.

The Horned Frogs led most of the way, but just never were able to shake the Red Wolves. Desmond Bane's free throw put TCU up 18-7 but a Deven Simms 3-pointer and a layup got Arkansas State with in six.

Carter's 3-pointer tied the game at 26-26.

Arkansas State was horrid at the free-throw line, making only 8 of 20 attempts overall. TCU made 20 of 27 foul shots (74.1 percent).

The Horned Frogs take on SMU on Wednesday in Dallas. Arkansas State's next game is Dec. 14 against Tennessee-Martin.
