When: 1:00 PM ET, Saturday, December 3, 2016
Where: Crisler Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan
Officials: # John Floyd, # Robert Riley, # Josh White

Sophomore forward Moritz Wagner scored a career-high 20 points and junior forward D.J. Wilson had a double-double, fueling Michigan's 82-55 rout of Kennesaw State on Saturday at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Wilson finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the second double-double of his career and senior Zak Irvin scored 19 points for the Wolverines, who bounced back from a loss to Virginia Tech with an easy win over Kennesaw State out of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Michigan also lost to South Carolina recently, a slide that dropped the Wolverines out of the Top 25. But the Owls were no match, despite a strong performance from high-scoring senior guard Kendrick Ray.

Ray scored 24 points to lead all scorers. He hit 10 of 19 shots, including four 3-pointers. Senior forward Aubrey Williams added 12 points for the Owls, who fell behind big early.

Michigan led 47-29 at halftime and was never seriously challenged in the second half. The Wolverines shot 56.6 percent from the field and outrebounded the Owls 32-19.

Wagner hit seven of eight field goals, including four 3-pointers, and senior guard Derrick Walton Jr. added 13 points and handed out eight assists for the Wolverines, who are now primed for a difficult finish to their nonconference schedule.

Michigan will host Texas on Tuesday and also has a tough road test at No. 11 UCLA, which knocked off No. 1 Kentucky in Lexington on Saturday. The Wolverines will open Big Ten play at Iowa on Jan. 1.

Kennesaw State will have over a week to regroup before traveling to Rider to take part in the Gotham Classic on Dec. 14.
