Alex Robinson came off the bench to post 16 points and seven assists, helping Texas Christian remain unbeaten with an 86-71 victory over visiting Washington on Wednesday night at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jaylen Fisher scored 15 points for TCU (7-0). J.D. Miller had 12 points. Kenrich Williams had 10 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Markelle Fultz had 21 points, 14 rebounds and six assists for Washington (4-3). Carlos Johnson had 13 points and eight rebounds. Noah Dickerson had 11 points.

Washington staged a huge run in the opening minutes to take what looked like a commanding lead. The Huskies went up 11-3 on a jumper by Dominic Green and took a 19-3 lead on a 3-pointer by Fultz.

The Horned Frogs trailed 22-5 when Brandon Parrish scored to spark an 18-0 run that put TCU up 23-22 with just under six minutes remaining in the half. The Huskies briefly reclaimed the lead, but the Horned Frogs carried a 32-29 lead into the locker room at the break.

TCU went up 35-29 early in the second half. Washington got within four on a free throw by Fultz, but the Horned Frogs pulled away. They went up 48-37 on a layup by Malique Trent, extended the lead to 16 on a layup by Robinson and took an 80-59 lead on a basket by Chris Washburn.

TCU shot 46.3 percent from the field, made 5 of 17 from 3-point range, converted 19 of 28 free-throw attempts and committed only nine turnovers. Washington shot 45.8 percent and made 10 of 12 from beyond the arc, but the Huskies were 7 of 18 at the free-throw line and committed 25 turnovers.
