V.J. Beachem scored 21 points and Bonzie Colson added 19 as Notre Dame remained unbeaten with an 83-48 non-conference victory over Loyola-Maryland in Friday non-conference play at Purcell Pavilion.

Martinas Geben added 10 rebounds for the Fighting Irish (3-0), who have scored at an 88.0 point-per-game clip in three games so far this season.

The Greyhounds (1-2) had eight points apiece from Andrew Walker, Andrew Kostecka, Jarred Jones and James Fives.

The 48 points was the fewest allowed by Notre Dame so far this season.

The Irish trailed 10-6 early in the opening half before moving ahead for good with an 11-3 run. Beachem collected 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in the first 11:20 as the hosts claimed a 27-15 lead and moved on to a 38-24 advantage by halftime.

Notre Dame opened the second half with an 18-5 run over the first 8:02 as the lead ballooned to 56-29 behind seven points from Colson.

The Irish shot 34-of-70 (48.6 percent) from the field and hit 10-of-25 3 point attempts (40 percent). The Greyhounds managed just 16-of-54 (29.6 percent) from the field, but were 7-of-18 (38.9 percent) in 3 point tries.

Friday's game was the fifth all-time meeting and first between the teams since 1996.

Notre Dame returns to Legends Classic play on Monday with a semifinal cash against Colorado at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The Irish will play either Texas or Northwestern in Tuesday's finale.

Loyola returns home to host Fairfield in a pre-Thanksgiving non-conference game next Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. (ET).
