Freshman guard Braxton Key scored 14 points, and Alabama crushed visiting Charleston Southern 76-46 Tuesday at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Alabama stormed out to a big lead and was never seriously challenged by the overmatched Buccaneers.

The Crimson Tide have featured a balanced attack all season, with three players averaging in double figures. That balance was on display again Tuesday night. Twelve Alabama players scored.

Sophomore guard Avery Johnson Jr., a transfer from Texas A&M and the son of Alabama coach Avery Johnson, came off the bench to score 11 points, and junior guard Ar'Mond Davis added 10 points. Freshman guard Dazon Ingram, the Tide's leading scorer, finished with nine points.

Sophomore guard Armel Potter finished with 12 points to lead the Buccaneers, who had their two-game winning sneak snapped and fell to 3-3 on the season. No other Charleston Southern player finished in double figures.

Alabama (4-2) led 18-5 after Johnson's 3-pointer nine minutes into the game.

Charleston Southern hit just two of its first 15 shots and trailed 40-15 at halftime.

Key had 12 points to lead Alabama in the first half.

Alabama forced 24 turnovers and dominated on the glass, outrebounding the Buccaneers 45-32.

Charleston Southern shot just 34.0 percent from the field.

It's the second straight win for the Crimson Tide, after being upset at home by Valparaiso. Alabama now faces back-to-back road tests at Texas and at No. 23 Oregon. The Crimson Tide begin that difficult stretch at Texas on Friday. They'll also face Clemson in December, before opening SEC play at Mississippi State on Jan. 3.

Charleston Southern will look to bounce back Saturday against Abilene Christian.
