Where: FedExForum, Memphis, Tennessee
Officials: # Tim Nestor, # Mike Stuart, # Archibald Whaley

Forward Kevin Hervey scored 22 points and guard Jalen Jones added 15 as Texas-Arlington knocked off Memphis 68-64 Monday night at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.

The win was the Mavericks' second straight on the road. UT-Arlington (3-1), picked in the preseason to finish eighth in the Sun Belt Conference, already had notched an upset victory when it defeated Ohio State on Friday.

Hervey also grabbed 11 rebounds and guard Erick Neal, the hero in the win over Ohio State, chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds.

Guard Ricky Tarrant Jr. led the Tigers (2-2) with 21 points, including going 12-for-12 from the free-throw line.

Memphis turned the ball over 10 times and committed seven fouls in the first half. The Tigers shot 20 percent on 5-for-25.

The Mavericks were not much better on 10-for-35 -- a 28.6 percent clip.

But the second half was a different story.

The Tigers made 13 consecutive free throws in a five-minute stretch to get back in the game.

Guard Avery Woodson's 3-pointer at the 12:16 mark gave the Tigers their first lead since early in the first half when they led 4-2.

Memphis' lead grew to five, but UT-Arlington battled back, and when Neal made a pair of free throws with just under three minutes to go, the Mavericks were in the lead for good.

Memphis' struggles at the free-throw line doomed the Tigers, who missed 16 of 44 attempts.

The Mavericks connected on 11 of 19 free throws.
