Arkansas-Little Rock rallied for the last six points - including a pair of jump shots by guard Josh Hagins - to defeat host San Diego State 49-43 on Saturday.
A layup by Aztecs guard Jeremy Hemsley with 1:41 left tied the game at 43. San Diego State (2-2) went scoreless the rest of the way, missing three jumpers and a free throw while committing a turnover.
Hagins, the Trojans' only double-figure scorer with 14 points, made jump shots on consecutive possessions to give Arkansas-Little Rock (3-0) a 47-43 lead with 46 seconds left.
Guard Dakari Allen and Hemsley scored 11 points apiece for the Aztecs.
Both teams shot poorly from the field with San Diego State making 28.3 percent and the Trojans 35.3.
Despite their cold shooting, the Aztecs managed to get back in the game after trailing 19-8 with 8:35 left in the first half and 24-13 with 3:08 until intermission.
San Diego State was 5 for 22 from the field - 2 for 13 from 3-point range - in the first half.
The Aztecs went on a 9-0 run, capped with a 3-pointer by guard Ben Perez, to take their first lead 30-29 with 10:57 left.
