Robert Morris 66, St. Francis (N.Y.) 63: Rodney Pryor had 17 points and four steals as the visiting Colonials held on to win the Northeast Conference final in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Freshman forward Elijah Minnie added a season-high 14 points and took nine rebounds and Lucky Jones scored 12 off the bench for second-seeded Robert Morris (19-14), which advanced to its eighth NCAA Tournament and first since 2010. Kavon Stewart contributed 11 points and six assists and Marcquise Reed had 10 points for the Colonials, who produced 13 steals.

Junior-college transfer Tyreek Jewell scored a season-high 19 points for top-seeded St. Francis (23-11) but missed three free throws with 2.4 seconds left and his team trailing by three. Jalen Cannon added 10 points and 12 rebounds, Glenn Sanabria made three 3-pointers off the bench in the second half and scored 10 points and Brent Jones, who came in second on the team in scoring at 14.2, finished with seven before fouling out with 38 seconds left for the Terriers.

St. Francis, one of five original Division I teams that has never participated in the NCAA Tournament, let a seven-point lead get away early in the second half and fell behind by 10 with 6:55 left, but mounted a rally. Jones scored off two midcourt steals to pull the Terriers within two with 2:35 remaining, and Sanabria’s 3-pointer followed a pair of missed free throws by Stewart to cut the margin to one with 16.2 seconds on the clock.

Jones was quickly fouled and made two free throws to push the lead back to three and Yunus Hopkinson missed a potential tying 3 on the other end for St. Francis, but Jewell collected the long rebound and immediately went up for a 3-point try, getting fouled by Minnie while in the air. Jewell, a 64.9 percent free-throw shooter coming in, was long on the first and short on the second before intentionally missing the third.
