Washington 68, UTEP 65: Andrew Andrews made four 3-pointers and scored 20 points as the Huskies edged the Miners in the championship game of the Wooden Legacy in Anaheim.

Nigel Williams-Goss had 16 points and six assists while Jernard Jarreau collected 10 points and eight rebounds for Washington (6-0), which opened the tournament with wins over San Jose State and Long Beach State. Robert Upshaw added six points and six rebounds as the Huskies recorded their first 6-0 start since the 2006-07 season after Omega Harris’ 3-point attempt missed the mark at the buzzer.

Vince Hunter recorded his fifth straight double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds for UTEP (4-1), which committed a season-high 16 turnovers and missed 13 of 15 attempts from 3-point range. Julian Washburn scored a season-high 17 points while Cedrick Lang chipped in 14 points and four rebounds.

Washington scored 18 points off 12 turnovers in the first half and led 33-26 at the break. The Miners opened the second half on a 10-4 run and took their first lead of the game at 43-41 on Hunter’s dunk with just over 13 minutes remaining.

With Washington's front line of Upshaw and Shawn Kemp Jr. battling foul trouble, UTEP moved ahead 61-57 with just over four minutes left when Lang converted one of two free-throw attempts. Washington responded with a 9-2 run and provided the final margin on two Williams-Goss free throws with six seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Williams-Goss set a Wooden Legacy record with a total of 26 assists in three games. ... UTEP was 19-of-26 from the foul line. … Huskies G Donaven Dorsey was 2-of-4 from 3-point range and made 10 of 16 shots from beyond the arc during the three-game tournament.
