Texas A&M 64, New Mexico 51: Danuel House scored 18 points off the bench in his debut with the Aggies, helping Texas A&M to the win over the Lobos in the fifth-place game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Jalen Jones had 13 points and eight rebounds for Texas A&M (3-1) while Alex Robinson added 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Alex Caruso had five points, 10 assists and eight rebounds for the Aggies.

Deshawn Delaney had 13 points to lead New Mexico (3-2), which shot 34.7 percent from the field, including 27.8 percent from 3-point range. Hugh Greenwood had another rough shooting night, going 3-of-12 from the field and 1-of-7 from beyond the arc, finishing with 10 points, seven assists and four boards.

The game was close early, with New Mexico holding a one-point lead midway through the first half before going on an 11-0 run to push the advantage to 22-10 with 5:27 to go. But Davonte Fitzgerald hit two 3-pointers and House added five points as the Aggies cut the lead to five by halftime.

Texas A&M went scoreless for the first three minutes of the second half but then got hot, going on a 14-2 run over the next five minutes to take a 40-34 advantage with 12:09 to play. The Lobos stayed close for a few minutes, trailing by three with 9:28 to go, but the Aggies slowly pulled away, holding New Mexico scoreless for nearly five minutes down the stretch to cruise to the victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: House was granted a waiver to play this season on Friday after transferring from Houston in the offseason. … Freshman C Tonny Trocha-Morelos also made his Texas A&M debut after being academically cleared Saturday, going scoreless with two rebounds and four fouls off the bench. … The Aggies won the board battle, 36-28.
