No. 5 Wisconsin 72, No. 25 Ohio State 48: Frank Kaminsky scored 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting as the visiting Badgers routed the Buckeyes in Big Ten play.

Bronson Koenig added 15 points as Wisconsin (28-3, 16-2) won for the 13th time in 14 games. Sam Dekker contributed 10 points and eight rebounds while Nigel Hayes added eight and eight.

D’Angelo Russell recorded 17 points and five assists for Ohio State (22-9, 11-7), which had its three-game winning streak halted. Jae’Sean Tate scored 13 points and Shannon Scott notched 10 and three steals as the Buckeyes shot 34 percent in scoring their fewest amount of points this season.
Wisconsin began pulling away early as Duje Dukan knocked down a 3-pointer to cap a 9-0 run and make it 23-9 midway through the first half. Dukan hit another long-range shot to make it a 16-point margin with 8:29 left and the Badgers limited Ohio State to 28.6 percent shooting while settling for a 37-23 lead at the break.

The Buckeyes made a charge in the second half with nine straight points to pull within 46-39 on Tate’s three-point play with 12:57 remaining. Koenig answered with back-to-back 3-pointers to start a 16-0 surge as Wisconsin stretched it out to 62-39, and the lead topped out at 25 on Koenig’s layup with 6:31 to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Badgers collected 13 offensive rebounds while posting a 41-27 advantage on the boards. … Kaminsky recorded his 13th 20-point effort of the season. … Scott raised his career steals total to 207, second-best in Ohio State history after snapping a tie with Jay Burson (2005-09).
